Jonathan Scott and his team work with some two dozen clients — including politicians, public figures, a major developer, a medical clinic, as well as charitable, environmental and commercial organisations in Canada and China — to meet their goals and develop memorable and effective communications and advocacy campaigns.
Jonathan is a member of the Crowns Retail Council, a marketing firm for cannabis products. He worked as Communications Director for the Ontario Liberal Caucus, managing a team to support 57 MPPs with their digital, design, communications and advertising needs. He also worked as Public Relations Director at Key Gordon Communications Inc, an advertising agency for green and ethical products and causes in Toronto. There, he worked with clients such as Georgian Bay Forever, Toronto Public Health, CivicAction, and arts and cultural organisations, to design and implement their public relations and advertising campaigns. He previously served as a speechwriter for the Premier of Ontario, the Hon. Kathleen Wynne MPP and in various roles at TD Bank Group.
Jonathan has managed campaigns and done communications for progressive candidates across Canada at all three levels of government, in the United States and in the United Kingdom. He is a regular political commentator on CTV News Channel, and his writing on politics, marketing, education, religion and current affairs have appeared in The Globe and Mail, The National Post, The Toronto Star, Monocle, Salon.com, iPolitics.ca, The Huffington Post, The Bradford Times, The Presbyterian Record, Education Canada, Education Today and The Federalist Trust.
Jonathan studied English literature at the University of Toronto’s Trinity College and law at Cardiff School of Law and Politics.
